Michael Stromwell as a young boy
Michael Stromwell was the brother of Arnold Stromwell. As children Michael would often express his discomfort at Arnold's theivery. One day while playing around some train tracks Michael saved Arnold from getting run over by a train but lost one of his legs in the process. This incident put a rift between himand his brother. When the two of them grew up Arnold became a major crime lord in Gotham while Michael became a priest. When Arnold's criminal empire was in danger of crumbling he joined Batman in his mission to to get Arnold to take a different direction in life. After Batman and Arnold's wife Connie failed to reform him he was approached by Michael who counseled him. This finally succeededand Arnold gave a statement to Commissioner Gordon and turned over evidence to the state.
